Dear WCDSB Students and Families,

A major winter storm is expected to reach Waterloo Region overnight tonight and is expected to cause dangerous driving conditions on Friday and over the weekend.

Based on this forecast – and with the safety of all in mind – the WCDSB in collaboration with the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) and Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region, has made the proactive decision to cancel ALL student transportation and close all schools tomorrow, Friday, December 23, 2022.

All before and after school programs and child care centres co-located in schools will also be closed.

And all programs and services offered by St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres are cancelled and St. Louis sites will be closed.

We pray that everyone is able to remain safe during the storm, and we wish one and all a happy and blessed Christmas break.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Please know that Lunchbox Orders are cancelled due to weather conditions and transportation cancellations.

Refunds will be processed.

DUE TO THE CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS, ALL SCHOOL BUSES, TAXIS AND SPECIAL EDUCATION ROUTES OPERATED BY THE WATERLOO CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD AND WATERLOO REGION DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD ARE CANCELLED. ALL PUBLIC AND CATHOLIC SCHOOLS ARE OPEN. ALL ST. LOUIS ONLINE, DAYTIME, AND EVENING CLASSES ARE OPEN AT ALL LOCATIONS. ALL EXTENDED DAY CHILDCARE PROGRAMS ARE OPEN.

Today at school we held a “mock” Lock Down.  A mock drill is basically a practice run of procedures set in place for Our Lady of Lourdes School. Before conducting the drill, the students were made aware that this was a “Practice Lock Down” and they were in no danger.

Dear OLOL School Community,

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Erin Stevens as the new Principal at Our Lady of Lourdes beginning January 9, 2023.  Ms. Stevens brings a wealth of experience in the various elementary schools she has served during her tenure with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.  She has taught most grades in the primary, junior and intermediate divisions and has served in various leadership roles within the board.  Ms. Stevens is looking forward to being part of the Our Lady of Lourdes community as she is a proud graduate of OLOL!   WELCOME MS. STEVENS

EQAO-Results-2021-2022

Much thanks to all families who supported our Holiday Plant Fundraiser!  We were able to raise approximately $976.

Families that have placed orders, are kindly requested to pick up their orders at the times below.  We will greet you at the outside gym door to gather your order for you. Please know that students will not be permitted to take Christmas plants home on the bus as per usual bus safety protocols.

followed by meeting in the church ( Please have your children complete required chapters from their textbooks) Fr. Rafal will briefly discuss and review these sections with the students) Please bring your textbook with you.

Please complete the paper section “Actions speak louder then words” project to which demonstrated how your actions will speak louder than words, in your school, community.
( For example organization a food drive and donating it to the food bank)
