Attached, please find information about WPL Summer Literacy Support Program Flyer.  This popular and successful program provides students who are entering grades 1 through grade 4 weekly small group support with English reading and writing skills. The focus of this program is on building positive associations with reading, learning to choose diverse reading materials, and developing a love for literacy.  This summer we have 3 designated literacy coaches on staff who will hold small group sessions (2-3 children per group) built around the children’s interests and needs.  Space in this program is limited so we are asking teachers and community partners like you to share this information with the parents and caregivers of children they feel would benefit most from this extra summer coaching.

The program will be offered at all three Waterloo Public Library locations, is free of charge and offers a range of possible appointment times.  Parents will need to submit a simple application form which can be found here:
