Dear Flames Families,

In addition to being Pride Month, June is National Indigenous History Month. It is an opportunity to learn about the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. A time to honour the stories, achievements and resilience of Indigenous Peoples who have lived on this land and whose presence continues to impact the evolving Canada. At OLOL we are sharing these stories through the morning announcements for students and staff to pause and pay attention throughout the month.

School Messenger SafeArrival Attendance Program

Thank you for your support and patience as we worked through our first few days! Moving forward, please report absences in advance using SafeArrival instead of sending notes or calling/emailing the school.

Looking for some guidance – Check out these helpful videos

Did You Get a Phone Call Indicating Your Child is Absent?

Not a problem! Just listen and follow along with the prompts given in the message.

Early Pickups

We have noticed an uptick in the number of parents calling the office for last-minute pick-up requests or to pass along changes in routine. While we realize that sometimes emergencies happen, we are asking parents to try as much as possible to convey those messages ahead of time.  With over 400  students, the office can be a very busy place and last-minute messages are not always possible to convey.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.
